Making Videos That Sell.

Videos are here to stay and your business growth will depend on marketing. The best way to have a larger reach is video and these simple 7 rules will help your business.

Goldfish have the attention span of 9 seconds and Humans have 8 seconds... we have less than a goldfish!

It is well known the progression of how we retain the information we learned.

If lectured we retain 5%. If we read 10%. If audio/visual 20%. If emotional we retain 80%.

Now, think about the movies and commercials you have seen that hit an emotional chord with you.

A tricky part is how we transfer information to our friends, coworkers, family... We transfer only 5% of what we remember, but as we chew longer on what we are hearing and visually seeing and this moves us emotionally then we go from just listening to understanding.

Truth + Storytelling+ Audio/Visual = 83% retentions

How would that impact your bottom line? Ready to connect to your customer? Apply these simple 7 rules in your next video!

  • Focus on the Problem (solution you offer)
  • Make it About the Customer
  • Focus on One Key Feature
  • Keep it Short and Sweet (confused minds won't buy)
  • Serialize it (If you have multiple products, don’t try to sell your entire line in one video. Give each product its own video. Even better, give each feature of each product its own short video). Consumers appreciate the specificity and information contained. Remember, video length matters. Don’t get longwinded!
  • Find an Interesting Angle
  • Include a Clear Call To Action

Think about a choice as a consmure you made recently. How did you find them? Was there a video to show the product? Professional Images? A story that engaged you?

You solve a problem customers are looking for

Be clear. Be authentic. Be consistent. Show the experience.
